What inspired you to launch your business?

I came from an art/graphic design background. I started using friends' photos from local high school sporting events and making sports composites a few years ago. After a couple of years doing those, I thought to myself, "why don't you just start taking these pics yourself?" So, I got a camera and started taking pics at various events.

What is your passion?

It is simple. I am passionate about taking senior and teen photos. I started photographing families and other genres, but I didn't enjoy these nearly as much as teenagers, so I decided to dedicate 100% of my business to them. I have loved every minute of it.

How do you start your day?

After jumping off the Peloton, I check my direct messages on Instagram. Instagram is my home base for my business since that is where the teens are.

Favorite local business?

I am a fan of Follow the Reverie. Patrick is my go-to source for all my t-shirt needs.

What do you deem as success in business?

To me, success is seeing seniors respond to their photos. Being a teen is hard. If I can help them forget their problems for a few hours and make them feel special, then I feel like I have done my job.

What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?

Do not lose your first love. In other words, when the money is not coming, or something is going wrong, do not lose sight of the passion that drove you to start your business.
