What inspired you to launch your business?

Our son Francis. We were in the process of adopting him and needed a way to fund it without asking people or running fundraisers. So, I connected with a friend in the wholesale business, and he guided me to starting an online boutique since the cost would remain minimal and would allow us to make the money we needed.

What is your passion?

Adoption. There is a family for every child, and usually, the biggest hurdle for anyone even thinking about adoption is financing. It’s hard to see the bottom dollar and trust you can get there, but that should never be the reason to try to close that door. We exist because of adoption, and we continue because of adoption. We help families in the process by sponsoring them for a month through sales, creating a shirt or item to sell through our shop or a direct grant for those adopting children with complex medical needs.

How do you start your day?

I work full-time on top of running our boutique, and I am a sleeper. So, I usually start my day thanking God for a new day, grab some coffee, and getting to work.

Favorite local business?

Ooh, that’s tough. I have favorites for different things, District 23, Kennedy Sue, and Bewitching Botanicals.

What do you deem as success in business?

If I am happy, my customers love to come to visit, and I help at least one person every day that is a success.

What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?

Do it. Time doesn’t stop for you to get the guts to take the risk. If you fail, at least you tried. My quote and motto, “If you let fear lead you, you’ll never know what your faith can do.”
