What inspired you to launch your business?

I’ve always loved putting events together and was encouraged by my friends and family to start. “putting myself out there” officially, and I’ve had a blast so far.

What is your passion?

To make things beautiful. Whether I’m designing a room in my house, hosting Thanksgiving, or planning a wedding - I’m going to make it pretty. My friend and I have this saying, “If something is worth doing, it’s worth overdoing.”

How do you start your day?

Cereal. But for real, I love a good sugary cereal.

Favorite local business?

I am a Willow and Birch babe all the way. Morgan is amazing. I have been going to her for years now. I always leave feeling super fresh and excited about a new purchase from their clothing boutique.

What do you deem as success in business?

I think that is personal for everyone, but I would say, happy clients. I only do a handful of weddings a year, and so far, all my brides have been friends/acquaintances or referrals from previous brides, and that to me is the best compliment.

What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?

Know yourself and give yourself grace. If you’re familiar with the Enneagram - I’m a seven. I am full of ideas. That’s what makes me good at what I do, but it can also become overwhelming. I’ve learned that just because I have an idea for a business or personal project doesn’t mean I have to act on it. I’m still working on managing my time and priories better and letting some ideas be just that, ideas. I’m a busy wife, momma of two, full-time employee, owner of my part-time passion project, and trying to find a way to be present in it all.
