Six Questions with Jamie Llosa-Don Smith Design Center
What inspired you to launch your own business?
Nate Tierney, the owner of Don Smith Paint, approached me about starting a Design Center out of Don Smith Paint. I was super excited about bridging Springfield residents with other local businesses building their homes or business or starting a remodel. I brought Allison Bredemeyer onto the team, as she is passionate about supporting local businesses, as well as a gifted designer.
What are you most passionate about?
Our passion is to create beautiful spaces for home and business owners and give back to our community.
How do you start your day?
Always with coffee from Grab-a- Java or Custom Cup.
Favorite local business to shop at?
There are so many favorites I could never pick just one.
What do you deem as success in business?
The goal is not about selling a product. It is about building a relationship with your employees and customers with confidence and trust. Having great long-term relationships with everyone we work with is a success.
What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?
Don't let the fear of what could happen to make nothing happen.
