What inspired you to launch your own business?

Freedom to create on my own terms. Working in a sign shop is a great way to learn the ins and outs of graphic design and print.

Unfortunately, it leaves little room for creativity, and as an artist, I needed to balance that out more. Amanda Broyles Freelance Art (ABFA) gives me the freedom to not only create inventory for vendor shows and small shops, it also

allows me to develop branding and logos for clients that might not walk into I.D. Signs.

What are you most passionate about?

My mother has always used that word to describe me when I get too worked up about something. I’m passionate about being the best version of myself.  That typically involves my artwork, being a mother, staying healthy. I’m very passionate about growth and continued learning on or off a campus. I’m a huge advocate for public libraries, community functions, programs involving the arts, science, music, and helping genuine hard-working people like myself and my family.

How do you start your day?

6am journal and yoga. Sometimes I will paint a little if I have time before my son wakes up for school.

What local business do you like to support?

Bewitching Botanicals

The Salted Lemon Market and Creamery

Food Fantasies

Old Capitol Farmers Market

What do you deem as success?

Creating a design that sets the tone for a business and incorporates their vision.

What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?

Good design is good business.
