Cured Catering to move catering operations to MacMurray College Campus.
SPRINGFIELD, IL, August 30, 2022 - Cured Catering and Reilly Foods, LLC have purchased the Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Illinois and will be converting the space to an event, wedding, and live music venue in early 2023.
Under the name The Bullard Country Chapel, the venue will include a commercial catering kitchen, event and dinner space for 200+ guests, an outdoor courtyard and an allergy-friendly local ice cream shop. The name of the venue celebrates the buildings architects, Bullard & Bullard, who started construction of the building in 1868. As well as being members of the local community, the Bullard brothers went on to construct many grand buildings and churches in Springfield, including work on the old state capital. Plans include restoring the church to its former glory as an event space for ceremonies and concerts.
Cured Catering will also be moving its operations to the former MacMurray College campus in Jacksonville, Illinois. Owner Brian Reilly is a former student of MacMurray and has served on the alumni board for MacMurray College for several years. While continuing offsite catering operations in Springfield and the surrounding area, the Reillys will also be managing McClelland Dining Hall and Annie Merner Chapel, and will have venue space available at both locations. Plans for these locations may include an outdoor patio event space and on-location Airbnb rental for wedding parties and event planners in the future. In addition, Cured Catering is currently in negotiations to be the featured caterer at the Decatur Hotel and Conference Center and to provide service for their 55,000 square foot event space. Events will be booked through the Decatur Hotel and Conference Center, while all catering and menu plans can be set up through Cured Catering.
