Summer Market launching on Springfield's westside
A new market is coming to Springfield's westside this summer.
Westside Market will be held on Sundays in the open air at Papo's Café strip mall from June 1 to August 31 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Organizer Celeste Malham of Fed Kitchen and Malham Health Maximization said, "This is more than just a market—it's a movement, a celebration of local talent, and a long-awaited opportunity to bring together farmers, small business owners, local bakeries, florists, and makers of all kinds to showcase and sell their handcrafted goods in a place that's never had something like this before."
Highlights include local produce and artisan goods, a kids' corner with crafts, games, and activities, live music, and photography micro minis.
"This has been a dream in the making — we've heard the community ask for something like this on the west side for years," said Celeste. "It's time we celebrate and support Springfield's amazing local talent, and we're proud to make it happen in our backyard finally."
