What inspired you to launch your business?

Since moving from England to America, pottery has played a significant role in my life. Through everything, it’s been a place of comfort, creativity, and community. As I put everything into making and gaining so much in return, I wondered, “could this be more than just a hobby?” From here, my business adventure began. I’ll be forever grateful for asking myself the question.

What is your passion?

Pottery is my all-time passion, as a hobby and profession. Pottery brings me joy when I create pieces that others can use daily. Pottery challenges me to continue building my skills. Pottery drives me to better myself in many ways as an individual and member of the community.

How do you start your day?

Two cups of coffee as I ponder my to-do list, followed by fresh air to kick my mind and body into gear before the making ahead.

Favorite local businesses?

Springfield Art Association for capturing my heart when I moved to Springfield. Buzz Bomb Brewing for the delicious brews, Arrowroot Coffee for the beans, and The Wakery for its beautiful space and vision.

What do you deem as success in business?

For me, no matter on what scale, business success is all about building connections with customers and the community. When we connect and collaborate with other businesses, individuals and the community will experience more success.

What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?

Occasionally, give yourself a break!
