Dakota Link -Nooks & Crannies

What inspired you to launch your business?

I started Nooks & Crannies for two main reasons. One was because I was a new mom and wanted to be more independent with my work/life balance, and the other was to help people. I have always loved cleaning, organizing, and living a minimalist life. I started to wonder if I could not only share my love with people but hopefully inspire them to free up space and clutter from their lives.

What is your passion?

My passion is Nooks & Crannies. I have amazing clients that drive me every day. I love helping them with home projects, tackling those messy rooms and areas, and consulting on interior design.

How do you start your day?

I start my day at 5.30 am with a workout. I get ready for the day. Get my daughter up and get her and my husband out the door. I come into my office and write thank you notes, check emails, do some work for my side job, and enjoy breakfast and coffee while I wait for Brittany. We pack up the car for cleanings or whatever we have that day, and off we go.

Favorite local businesses?

Grab a Java, Papos, Widlyrooted, Willow and Birch, Peace, Love Sweat, and District 23.

What do you deem as success in business?

I believe a successful business is profitable and has a strong relationship with your clients/customers because, without the customers, there’d be no profit or business.

What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?

Find people and employees that want to help you build and grow. When you have people you can trust, it makes all the difference.
