Bloom Hospitality & Catering has relocated to a purpose-built facility in Springfield
Bloom Hospitality & Catering has opened a catering kitchen at 1012 West Iles Avenue, off Macarthur Boulevard in Springfield, Illinois.
Bloom Hospitality & Catering owner Gabi Thompson purchased the building earlier this year, and she and business partner John Huffman have spent the past six months renovating it.
“We are so excited to open the doors of our new kitchen, which has everything we need to prepare off-site and cater small gatherings to events of 250+ people,” said Gabi. “This was the perfect spot for us, right in the heart of the city. We have a modern kitchen, lots of storage, and parking.”
Gabi and John launched Bloom Hospitality & Catering in May 2023 to meet demand for corporate and private dining experiences throughout central Illinois.
Gabi said support from the community since starting Bloom Hospitality & Catering had been awesome. “We are so incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported us, from family and friends to our customers.
“We have met great people and worked with many local businesses, the Illinois Army National Guard, and several brides and grooms.
“It has been an amazing experience so far. We have several weddings booked next year and recommend anyone hosting a large event or special occasion reach out soon. We can do anything from a buffet, family-style, to a three-course plated dinner," said Gabi.
The new building features a fully equipped prep kitchen, on-site parking, and ample storage.
Bloom formally worked out of Three Twigs & Co. on the corner of Chatham Road and W Iles Avenue.
