What inspired you to launch your business?
I was inspired to launch NovaBrooks Boutique by my passion for working with children. In high school, I volunteered as a teacher's assistant in the special education department. I then spent over a decade as a mother-baby/newborn nursery nurse. After a seven-year break to be with my two oldest sons, I returned to nursing with a focus on pediatrics.
In 2021, I founded NovaBrooks Boutique, a children's clothing store for newborns to 14-year-olds. Our mission is to build confidence and spread smiles through our carefully curated collection. After all, we believe that clothing plays a significant role in shaping confident and happy kids.
What is your passion?
Raising kids doesn't come with a playbook, but the key is to assure them that we will always be there for them, supporting their aspirations. Children with dreams are the true superheroes, regardless of their age. Our role is to guide and inspire them, showing them they can achieve anything with passion and hard work. Kids and their dreams are my ultimate passion.
How do you start your day?
My day starts at 5 am when I immerse myself in NovaBrooks Boutique.
I head out around 6.30 am to spend a rewarding yet challenging 12 hours at the clinic.
On my day off and most Saturdays, I manage inventory, update the website, pack and dispatch orders, create content, bookkeep, and complete administrative tasks. From April to December, we participate in vendor events at the weekends. Customers can also explore and shop at their convenience online. Despite the demanding schedule, I find fulfillment in my roles, quality family time, and the continuous growth and management of NovaBrooks Boutique.

What do you deem as success in business?
Business success is achieving a point where my venture becomes my primary source of income. The ability to turn my passion into a livelihood that not only sustains but also nurtures and supports my family is, without a doubt, a dream come true. Success, in my eyes, is not just measured by financial milestones but also by the fulfillment and joy derived from doing something I love.

Embrace the journey, love what you do, and don't stop until you reach the point where your passion and hard work become the foundation of your success.
