Illinois State University graduate Kyia has joined AlignLife of Springfield Chiropractic. 

The 23-year-old from Chandlerville is the new technician chiropractic assistant. She will perform floor duties, room patients, and assist the doctors during examinations and treatments. 

Kyia said she was attracted to the technician chiropractic assistant role because of the mission at AlignLife. "Helping patients reach their goals and improve their overall well-being is inspiring, and I wanted to be a part of a team that makes big differences in lives,” she said. 

“I love getting to know people and hearing their stories. I hope to empathize with patients, build strong relationships, and form connections with all who come into the center.”

Kyia graduated with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and has worked as a substitute at New Salem Children's Center, a counselor with Normal Parks & Recreation Department, and a teller at Petefish, Skiles & Co. Bank. 

“As a technician chiropractic assistant, I will actively expand my knowledge of chiropractic and natural healthcare, effectively collaborating with colleagues and empathizing with patients to build deep relationships,” said Kyia. “I will recognize the individuality of each patient and reassure them they can achieve their healthiest life. I want to be a positive role model portraying the healthiest version of myself. The Technician Chiropractic Assistant role will allow me to do this and more.”

In her spare time, Kyia enjoys listening to music, being outdoors, playing card games, and watching family members play sports.
