FOUR Central Illinois businesses received awards during the annual Illinois Local Conference at the Grant Conservatory of Music & Dance in Springfield on Monday, September 11, 2023.

The Illinois Local Business of the Year award went to Troxell Insurance. GM Photography took the Illinois Local Ambassador of the Year award. Sangamon Tree Service received the Illinois Local Best Use of Social Media award. Brave Hazel Boutique in Carlinville was named Community Hero.

Troxell Insurance has kindly supported the Illinois Local awards for three consecutive years. Chief Experience Officer Alysse Hewell said, “We are proud to support the awards ceremony again this year. In a world where it is easy to avoid supporting local businesses, we love seeing our community join to recognize one another. All local businesses deserve an award. By supporting and working together, we can continue to learn and grow from each other.”

Illinois local hosts its annual Holiday Market on Small Business Saturday - November 25, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - in the Exposition Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Entry is $3 for ages 13 and over. Vendors can reserve both here.
